What can I say that the pictures don't? He's so glittered it even shows up in photographs. See where he is overexposed because of all the glitter? His clear golden coat is soft as silk. He has an amazing, heavily-rosetted, chaotic pattern that is still developing including those chained rosettes down his back. Fiamme is flame in italian, and that part of his name is referring to those markings which looked like balls of flame down his back as a kitten. He has good bengal type. Shasta has wonderful genetics which will make him extrememly versatile as a breeder. His sire Fabio's Charm is a very handsome clear-coated and highly glittered marble with a wonderful marble pattern down from Stageone Skywalker. Because of this, Shasta carries a marble gene. As I understand it, a spotted pattern is dominant to a marbled one, and a cat has to have both marble genes to exhibit the pattern. So if I mate him to Haleakala, he will throw half marbled kittens. Because Haleakala is heterozygous for silver, half of the kittens will be silver and half will be a beautiful golden brown something like Shasta here. Because both Shasta and Haleakala are glittered, all of the kittens should also turn out glittered.
Mated with Safyre Star, he would throw all silver spotted kittens. I have liked his color from the beginning because he has a nice light golden brown, which I think will inhibit well when bred into silver. He is also very clear-coated, which will be another big plus in a silver breeding with Star. |
